Anthony Joshua Discharged from Hospital in Nigeria Following Tragic Car Crash
The British boxer Anthony Joshua has left the medical facility, local government spokespeople stated on late Wednesday. The fighter was involved in a car accident near Lagos on the 29th of December, a tragic incident that claimed the lives of two of his team members.
Under Observation for Minor Injuries
The sports star had been receiving medical attention while recuperating from non-critical injuries, his management team confirmed on Monday. The Lagos state commissioner for information, Gbenga Omotoso, announced via a post on social media that Joshua was declared medically stable to leave and heal privately.
“Anthony and his mother were at the mortuary in Lagos this afternoon to offer their condolences to his two departed friends as they were being prepared for repatriation,” Omotosho said.
Remembering the Victims
The two men who died were confirmed to be Latif Ayodele, a personal trainer, and Sina Ghami, a conditioning specialist. The official further stated that the boxer was “heavy-hearted and overcome with emotion over the tragic loss of his two dear friends.”
